- 1/3 cups of Virgin oil
- Some Grey Salt
- Some Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- 8 tablespoons of Butter (unsalted)
- A loaf of Bread (cut into slices)
- 3 sprigs of Thyme (one tablespoon, finely chopped)
Preparation

Roasted Garlic Bread with Gorgonzola Cheese
Ingredients for the Recipe
- A cup of heavy Cream
- A cup of crumpled Gorgonzola Cheese
- A Baguette
Ingredients for Garlic Oil
- A large head of Garlic
- A cup of extra-virgin Olive Oil
Preparation
- To begin, make the garlic oil. To do so, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Now wrap the garlic head in a piece of foil and roast in the middle of the oven until it becomes tender. This should take about 45 minutes. When it is done, carefully unwrap the garlic and let it cool. Now horizontally halve the garlic head and cut the sides down. Place these cut sides in a small bowl which contains olive oil. Cover and chill this mixture and let it stand for 2 - 3 days in order to infuse the olive oil with the garlic flavor.
- To make the roasted garlic bread, take a saucepan and boil the cream in it, ensuring that it is stirred occasionally. Follow this step until the cream is reduced to a cup. Now add the gorgonzola cheese and cook this mixture over low heat, until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes nice and smooth. When it is ready, remove the pan from the heat and keep the sauce covered and warm.
- Next halve the baguette horizontally and arrange the pieces on a baking sheet. Broil these pieces of baguette placing them 2 - 3 inches from the heat until they turn golden brown. When the bread is toasted, brush the cut sides of the baguette with garlic oil and then season with salt. Once the above step is complete, cut the baguette crosswise into slices that are 1 inch thick. Now pour the warm and tasty Gorgonzola sauce into the center of a place and place the roasted garlic bread slices around it.
