A father is a person who loves you unconditionally. Someone who protects your from life’s harsh blows. He is the person who holds your hands when you begin to walk and holds your cycle when you begin to pedal. A father is someone who is always there for you, no matter how old you are. You can show you father how much you appreciate him by preparing a father’s day menu. Here are some easy father’s day recipes that you could include for breakfast, lunch or dinner or even make some delicious after meal mouth-watering desserts.

Breakfast Recipes for Father's Day

Scrumptious Crepes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of Milk
  • 2 tablespoons of Cooking Oil
  • 2 tablespoons of Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons of Sugar
  • ½ a teaspoon of Salt
  • 3 Eggs (yolks)
  • 3 cups of Flour
  • 6 teaspoons of Butter

Procedure

  • First take a large bowl and beat the egg yolks in it. Now add the milk and vanilla extract. Once that is complete, add the sugar, salt, flour as well as the butter to the mixture and blend everything well.
  • Next take a pan and place it over a medium flame until it becomes hot. Now pour the cooking oil onto the pan and let it heat for about 1 minute. Next add about ¼ of the batter into the pan, evenly. Let it remain for a few minutes until bubbles begin to form on the top of the batter.
  • Now flip over and cook the other side until both the sides are light brown in color. Do the same with the remaining batter. When the crepes are ready, fill them up with your dad’s favourite cream, cheese, fruits or caramel. Serve the crepes hot!

Omelet with Pepper and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • A cup of Green Pepper (chopped)
  • A cup of Yellow Pepper (chopped)
  • ½ a cup of an Onion (chopped)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 whites of Eggs
  • ½ a cup of Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ a cup of Salsa

Procedure

  • To begin, spray a non stick skillet with cooking spray. Now add the onions and peppers and cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Once that is done remove from the skillet and keep it aside.
  • Next whisk together the whole eggs as well as the egg whites along with ¼ cup of water. Now pour this mixture into the skillet and cover. Let is cook for about 6 minutes. When that’s ready, top it with the cheese and pepper mixture.
  • Now use the spatula to fold the egg mixture over the filling. Cook this for about 3 minutes or until the cheese melts. Serve the omelet topped with salsa.

Grilled Shrimp with Oregano Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup of Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons of Oregano (dried and crumbled)
  • A small Onion
  • 24 large Shrimps (peeled and deveined)

Equipment

  • Long Metal Skewers (4 pieces)

Procedure

  • First stir the oregano, oil and ¾ teaspoon of pepper and salt each in a bowl. Next cut the onion lengthwise into wedges that measure ¾ inches and separate layers. Put the shrimps and onions into the oil mixture. Now thread 6 shrimps into each skewer. Alternate the shrimps with single layers of onions.
  • Next grill the shrimps and onions. If you are using a gas grill, remember to cover it and turn once until it is thoroughly cooked. This should take about 3 to 4 minutes. Serve the yummy grilled shrimps with tomatoes, dill and orzo with feta.

Corn with chipotle-scallion butter Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¾ Butter (unsalted and softened)
  • ¼ cup of Scallions (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon of Chipotle Chiles in adobo (seeded, minced and canned)
  • ¼ tablespoon of Lime Zest (grated)
  • 6 ears of Corn (shucked and halved)

Procedure

  • To begin, stir the scallions, chipotles, zest and butter together in a large bowl. Now add ½ a teaspoon of salt.
  • Next cook the corn in a large pot of boiling water. Wait for it to turn crisp and tender. This should take about 3 to 5 minutes. When the corn is ready; use tongs to transfer the corn into the butter mixture. Toss and serve hot.

Baked Salmon

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of Butter
  • 1 ½ c. of Cream (light)
  • 3 Onions (sliced)
  • 3 sprigs of Parsley
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 clove of Garlic (quartered)
  • 3 lb. of Salmon
  • 1 teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black Pepper
  • ½ a teaspoon of Thyme
  • 2 Cucumbers (peeled and then cut into strips)

Procedure

  • First combine the pepper, salt and thyme and rub this mixture all over the salmon. Now melt some butter in a baking dish and then add the salmon. Coat the salmon with butter. Next add the onion slices, parsley, garlic, light cream and bay leaf.
  • Once all that is done arrange the strips of cucumber around the salmon. Next bake covered until the center bone becomes easy to remove, this should take about 40 minutes. Now remove the salmon from the oven and discard the onion, parsley, garlic and bay leaf before you serve the baked salmon.

Barbequed Ribs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 lb. of Back Ribs (cut into small pieces)
  • 4 teaspoon of Lemon Juice
  • 1 small Onion
  • ½ teaspoon of Salt
  • ½ teaspoon of Pepper
  • 1 ¼ c. of Ketchup
  • ¾ c. of Water
  • ¼ c. of Honey
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce

Procedure

  • First mix the water, honey, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, onion, lemon juice, salt and pepper together. Then cook this sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Next cook the ribs over medium-hot coals for an hour. Remember to turn and mix them occasionally. Now brush the sauce over the ribs and turn and cook for 20 to 30 minutes more.

Cookies with Vanilla and Sugar Recipe

Ingredients

  • An Egg
  • 2 cups of all-purpose Flour
  • ¼ a cup of Butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon of Salt

Procedure

  • First preheat the oven to a temperature of 350 degrees. Next take a bowl and beat the sugar and butter in it using an electric beater. Once that is done add the salt, vanilla and egg and beat until it becomes smooth.
  • Now stir the flour into the mixture above and knead it lightly until there a soft dough forms. Once that is done divide the dough into half and wrap each in a waxed paper. Use this to form a cylinder that is about 1 ½ inches in diameter.
  • Now put the dough in the fridge until it turns firm. Keep it there for about 2 hours. Next cut the dough into slices that measure ¼ inches. Arrange them on cookie sheets that are greased and bake them for about 12 to 15 minutes.

Brownies with Peanut Butter

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups of Butter
  • 2 cups of Sugar (granulated)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of Vanilla
  • 1 cup of Flour
  • 1 cup of Peanut Butter
  • ½ a cup of Sugar (powdered)
  • 2 square’s of Semi-Sweet Chocolate
  • 4 square’s of Unsweetened Chocolate

Procedure

  • First preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then take a 13 x 9 inch baking pan and line it with foil. Remember to extend the ends of the foil over the sides of the pan and grease the foil too. Next take some unsweetened chocolate and butter in a bowl and microwave it on high for about 2 minutes.
  • Once the above steps are complete, stir the chocolate until it is completely melted. Now add the granulated sugar and mix well. Next, blend in a teaspoon of vanilla along with the eggs. Stir in the flour until it is well blended too. Now spread into the pan. Bake the mixture in the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes and then let it cool on a wire rack.
  • When all that is done beat the powdered sugar, remaining vanilla and peanut butter and spread it over the brownies. Next put the semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl and put into the microwave on high for about 2 minutes. Once the chocolate had melted, stir and drizzle over the layer of peanut butter. Put into the refrigerator until the chocolate becomes firm. Now cut the brownie into 36 pieces and serve!
