Simple Egg Salad Recipe
Ingredients- 7 hard boiled Eggs
- 3 tablespoons of Mayonnaise
- ¼ teaspoon of Pepper (ground)
- ½ a teaspoon of Salt
- ½ a cup of Celery (diced)
- ½ a cup of Sweet Pickle (diced)
How to Make It- First slice the eggs into half and carefully take out the egg yolks and put them into a bowl. Next take a medium bowl and chop the rest of the eggs into it.
- Now add the sweet pickle, salt, pepper and celery. Once that is done, take the bowl with the egg yolks and mash them with a fork. Now add the mayonnaise and mix until it turns creamy. Then mix the egg mixture and the dressing together.
Scrumptious Egg Salad RecipeIngredients- 8 hard boiled Eggs
- 2 cups of Salad Greens (mixed)
- ½ a cup of Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of Capers (rinsed and drained)
- Some Salt
- Pepper (fresh)
- 1 tablespoon of Sherry Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of Shallot (minced)
- 3 ounces of Smoked Salmon (thin strips)
- 6 oil-packed Sun Dried Tomatoes (drained and cut into strips)
- 6, 6 inches Pita bread (cut into 12 pieces)
How to Make It- First take a large bowl and mash the eggs in it. Now combine the capers, salmon, tomatoes and shallots.
- Next take a small ball and mix the vinegar and mayonnaise in it. Then add the egg mixture and combine it well. Once that is done, add the salt and pepper. Once that is complete, line the pita pockets with salad greens and then fill the egg salad in it.
Curry Flavored Egg Salad RecipeIngredients- 5 hard boiled Eggs
- 3 tablespoons of Yogurt (plain)
- ½ Onion (chopped)
- ½ Apple (chopped)
- Bunch of Chives (minced)
- 1 ½ teaspoon of Curry Powder
- 2 big pinches of Salt
- ¼ cup of Pecans (toasted and chopped)
How to Make It- To begin, take a bowl and combine the yoghurt, curry powder and salt in it. Next peel the eggs and place then in a medium size bowl.
- Once that is done add the yoghurt mixture, onions, pecans, apples and chives with the eggs. Mash everything gently with a fork. Eat this salad as it is or wrap in a lettuce or bread.
Tasty Russian Egg Salad RecipeIngredients- 6 hard boiled Eggs (thinly sliced)
- 5 tablespoons of Cream (soured)
- 1 small clove of Garlic (crushed)
- ¼ teaspoon of Russian-style Mustard
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 ½ cup of Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of Spring Onion Tops (chopped)
- 1 Red Pepper or Carrot for garnish (shredded)
How to Make It- First mix the soured cream, garlic, salt, mustard and mayonnaise together. Then mash the eggs along with this mixture.
- Once that is done sprinkle some chopped onion on top and garnish the egg salad with carrot or red pepper.
Baked Egg Salad RecipeIngredients- 12 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon of Mustard Powder
- 4 tablespoons of Pimentos (diced)
- 50 grams of Celery (chopped)
- 65 grams of Green Pepper (chopped)
- 125 ml of Mayonnaise
- A pinch of Black Pepper
- Some Lettuce leaves, Olives and Radishes (to serve)
How to Make It- First pour the beaten eggs into a greased tin measuring 12x10x2 ½ inches and placed inside a larger roasting pan. Then fill about half the side of the tin with boiling water. Bake it at 325 degrees or until the beaten eggs turn firm.
- Next, let it cool after which dice the eggs. Now take a large bowl and combine the remaining ingredients and the diced eggs in it. Let it chill this about an hour at least. Now scoop out some of this mixture and place it onto a lettuce leaf. Use 2 ripe olives, 1 green one and a few radish slices for garnishing.
Spicy Egg Salad RecipeIngredients- 30 ml of Olive Oil
- ¾ teaspoon of Salt
- 1 Onion (minced)
- 1 Scallion (finely sliced)
- 3 Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 1 tablespoon of Paprika
- ½ a teaspoon of Ginger (ground)
- 1 ½ teaspoon of Chili Powder
- 1 tablespoon of Soy Sauce
- Juice from a Lemon
- 5 hard boiled Eggs (peeled and chopped)
- 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
- 2 teaspoons of fresh Lemon Thyme (or a herb of your choice)
- 35 grams of dry-roasted Peanuts (blanched and de-skinned)
- 1 green Chili (mined after removing seeds and ribs)
How to Make It- First heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan placed on medium-low heat. Next add the peanuts and sauté until they turn golden brown in color. Now stir in the onion, scallion, chilies and garlic and cook this mixture until the onions become translucent. Then add the ground ginger, paprika and chilli powder and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remember to stir this mixture occasionally. When it is ready, transfer the contents into a medium bowl.
- Now take a separate bowl and whisk the soy sauce, lemon juice, salt and the remaining olive oil together. Add this mixture along with the eggs, fresh herbs and tomatoes to the bowl that contains the peanut mixture. Mix the contents gently and serve!
