Make your coffee cake taste just a bit different with this easy to make cinnamon and sour cream coffee cake recipe.
Recipe Ingredients
4 Eggs
3 cups of flour
A teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
A cup of butter or margarine
2 ¾ cup of sugar (divided)
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 cups of sour cream
2 tablespoons of cinnamon
½ a cup of chopped walnuts
Recipe Preparation
First
take a large bowl and cream the butter and 2 cups of sugar in it until
it turns fluffy. Now add the eggs, only one at a time and beat well
after each one is added. Next combine the baking powder, baking soda,
flour and salt.
Next add the mixture alternatively with the
sour cream and beat the batter after each addition. Once that is done;
spoon 1/3 of the batter into a 10 inch greased pan. Now combine the
cinnamon and nuts with the remaining sugar. Spread this over the batter
and repeat this layer two more times.
Once it is ready, bake
the batter at 350° for about 70 mins. When it is ready, cool
the cake for 10 mins in the pan and then remove it and let it cool
on the wire rack. Serve when the coffee cake is completely cooled.
