Grilled Shrimp with Oregano

Make scrumptious grilled shrimp with oregano for lunch with this easy lunch time recipe.
Recipe Ingredients
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of dried and crumbled oregano
  • A small Onion
  • 24 large peeled and deveined shrimps

Equipment

  • 4 pieces of long metal skewers

Recipe Preparation

  • First stir the oregano, oil and ¾ teaspoon of pepper and salt each in a bowl. Next cut the onion lengthwise into wedges that measure ¾ inches and separate layers. Put the shrimps and onions into the oil mixture. Now thread 6 shrimps into each skewer. Alternate the shrimps with single layers of onions.
  • Next grill the shrimps and onions. If you are using a gas grill, remember to cover it and turn once until it is thoroughly cooked. This should take about 3-4 minutes. Serve the yummy grilled shrimps with tomatoes, dill and orzo with feta.
