use your food processor to blend the bread flour, yeast, salt, sugar,
garlic, Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan cheese as well as the
softened butter. Then stir together hot water and milk and slowly pour
in this mixture until the contents turn into a ball.
add the egg and turn on the food processor for 30 seconds to knead the
dough. Now take the dough out of the food processor and knead it slowly
and lightly by hand. Once that is over, take a large bowl and lightly
oil it. Then place the dough in it and turn it to coat it with oil.
Later take a damp cloth to cover the dough and place the dough in a
warm place till it doubles in volume. This should take about an hours
Now take the dough out and punch it and then put it
out on a surface that is lightly floured. Then roll the dough into a 10
* 12 inch rectangle and use a pizza cutter of knife to slice the dough
lengthwise into about ten strips. Later cut these strips further into
half. Use the melted butter to brush the top of the strips and then
sprinkle the strips with Parmesan cheese.
Once you have completed the above steps, cover the breadsticks for 30 minutes to let it rise. Next
preheat the oven to 375° and place the breadsticks in the oven
for about 18-23 minutes. Then turn on the broiler and brush the
breadsticks with the remaining Parmesan cheese and butter. Now broil
the breadsticks until the cheese begins to turn golden brown in color.
