Build Your List By Learning to Be Remarkable

Lucrative internet and network marketing requires a large group of people to promote your business. This is seldom accomplished by having a list of people in order to offer your opportunity or products. People must opt-in i.e., choose to be on your list. So, what makes people want to opt-in to your list? By now, you must have known that what you are offering is wonderful but isn't sufficient enough to have people listen to you.

One of the most fundamental aspect in the marketing and mailing list building process is that you must be remarkable! Marketing guru and best-selling author Seth Godin says "You’re either remarkable or invisible. Make your choice."

You can be taught how to be remarkable and, once that is learned, it is easy for people to perceive that you have the knowledge to assist them in becoming successful by following your lead.

The key marketing phrase of today is attraction marketing and although every internet and network marketing individual understands the importance of the phrase, they fail to attract prospects because this piece of the puzzle eludes them. People subscribe to a canned marketing system that teaches the value of attraction marketing. They advertise that they are coaches but, for most, this tactic fails them. Why is that? Saying that you are a coach and a leader is not enough. It is easy to spot a follower when thousands of people are sending out the exact same e-mail; using the exact same tactics as everyone else professing to be a coach.

Attraction marketing is not a new concept. Marketing campaigns for traditional, brick and mortar businesses are designed to brand the organization as leaders in their fields. The reason that traditional businesses brand themselves as experts is to bring customers to their doors. The sole purpose of attraction marketing on the internet is to build a list of people; in order to market your product or business opportunity. This is the equivalent of traditional businesses selling or offering right at their doors.

I need to relate a story to you that demonstrates the importance of being a leader and not merely telling people and hoping that some one believes you. Years ago, I advertised some furniture for sale in a local paper. A woman responded to the advertisement and, when she came to my home to inspect the furniture, I noted that she was beautiful although big. When she decided to make the purchase, we began to chat about the purpose of purchasing the furniture. She, proudly, stated that she was the president of a new gym opening in the area. I had no confidence in her ability to provide me with the guidance to become fit and, therefore, had no desire to follow her and become her customer. However, if she had said that she was opening a beauty salon, I would have gladly frequented her salon.

People follow leaders because they perceive that the leader has the ability to assist them in attaining their goals.
