Halloween is a great time to celebrate with friends and family but often creating invitations for calling people down for Halloween parties or treats is a tricky job in itself. Don't worry I would just try to give you some ideas on what you can write on your Halloween invitations:

What to write on the envelope?
Writing Halloween quotes or some scary quotes on the envelope would be a great idea in itself. It would surely add a bit of unique spooky touch to your invitations. You can also add a witch or ghost clipart over the envelope along with the quote(s).

What to write on the actual invitation?
Alright, before writing anything, make sure you are using a font that's spooky and scary enough. Writing in a plain old times new roman or arial font would be quite gross. Try to Google for scary fonts or horror fonts if you don't have one already. If you are using windows operating system, using the font is quite easy - just click your start menu, click run, type fonts and press the return key. When the font folder pops up, copy and paste your horror font file there. Now you can use it using any of your favorite word processor tool such as Microsoft Word.
Alright, back to what to write ideas: So, once you get your spooky scary font, you can write in some manner as I have depicted in the sample below:

- Welcoming the Andersons -

<inserting a scary clipart here would be a good idea in itself>

To Hell's Gate! To Risk Life! To Party!!!

Including <foods/drinks>

Including <music/whatever
>

<some more blah! blah! blah!
>

Address: At the Devil's official residence at 1058 Bird Street, Las Cruces, NM
Caution: Arrive when the clock strikes 00:00

Make sure you make some words bold and red, don't over do it, it can take away the look. Be innovative, think how can you be truly original and would strike a good impression. The sample above was quite informal one, so if you are looking for a formal invitation try this:

- Welcoming the Andersons -

We, Martin Family would like to cordially invite you along with your entire family to have a fun filled Halloween party at our place. We have already made blah! blah! blah! arrangements and we ensure that this night would be absolutely action packed and enjoyable for you.

Looking forward to your presence...

You could try to spread out the words a bit and try changing fonts to look it more attractive. If you are confident with your creative abilities, try some tomato ketchup over the envelope in a artistic style. See, basically you can write anything you wish, just make sure you make it look natural, important and spooky!
